Call recording is, unfortunately, a sore topic.
The simple truth is that Google (the Android developers) has banned this feature for third-party apps like drupe. They put this ban in place to protect people's privacy rights.
Because of this change, call recording now only works on older versions of Android (specifically, those released before Android 9).
